Tahoe Island Drive
Tahoe Island Drive is a wonderful residential area offering many homes of varying sizes for the full-time residence or the vacationers. Most of the streets offer level, easy access to homes on larger city lots. Easy access to bike trails, hiking trails, Camp Richardson recreation area and the beaches is an added bonus. Some of the homes also back up to the Tahoe Keys area and offer some of the Tahoe Keys amenities with those properties. Wonderful in-town location with close proximitiy to Raley's market, factory outlet stores, restaurants, Barton Hospital and the local airport.
There are three elementary schools that serve Tahoe Island Drive: Bijou Community School, Tahoe Valley Elementary, and Sierra House Elementary. South Lake Tahoe also has one middle school (South Tahoe Middle School) and one high school (South Tahoe High School.)
