Pioneer Trail
Pioneer Trail is a quiet county neighborhood with easy access to ski resorts, shopping and the casino nightlife. It features larger parcels, some vacant lots and newer construction homes -- some with mountain and forest views. Residents also enjoy amazing trail systems for hiking, biking, snowmobiling, and hiking to the Truckee River.
There are three elementary schools that serve Pioneer Trail: Bijou Community School, Tahoe Valley Elementary, and Sierra House Elementary. South Lake Tahoe also has one middle school (South Tahoe Middle School) and one high school (South Tahoe High School.)
