Logan Creek
Logan Creek is a private neighborhood just past Cave Rock that offers partial ownership of lakefront lot as well as a lovely beach that few people know about. Many of the homes in this area sit on large parcels backing or fronting forest service land, which creates a peaceful and private retreat area tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the freeway, yet it also has easy access to all that Tahoe has to offer.
There are three schools that serve the Logan Creek neighborhood: George Whittell High School, Kingsbury Middle School and Zephyr Cove Elementary. Combined, the three schools have an estimated 600 students and 70 teachers. In August of 2008, Whittell will consolidate with Kingsbury Middle School to become a campus for grades 7 through 12.
In 2005, Whittell was designated as "exemplary", one of only five Nevada schools to earn this honor.
