Christmas Valley 2
This part of Christmas Valley is located eight miles south of the city of South Lake Tahoe, on Highway 89 following the Upper Truckee River. This is an unincorporated area of El Dorado county. All homes are walking distance to the river and open forest lands. Several Forest Service parcels -- which are unbuildable lots -- help maintain the feeling of openness in the neighborhood. It offers beautiful mountain views, and is also quiet, serene and peaceful.
There are three elementary schools that serve Christmas Valley: Bijou Community School, Tahoe Valley Elementary, and Sierra House Elementary. South Lake Tahoe also has one middle school (South Tahoe Middle School) and one high school (South Tahoe High School.)
