Black Bart
The Black Bart neighborhood lies between the meadows of Heavenly Valley Creek and Trout Creek along Black Bart Avenue. It's in El Dorado County, and it's an unincorporated area, which means it is not in the city of South Lake Tahoe. Residents still have easy access to Pioneer Trail, the college, Heavenly Village, Stateline and the Lake. This is ideal for outdoor enthusiasts as the adjacent meadows provide plenty of opportunity for hiking, fishing, cross country skiing, and snowshoeing.
There are three elementary schools that serve the Black Bart: Bijou Community School, Tahoe Valley Elementary, and Sierra House Elementary. South Lake Tahoe also has one middle school (South Tahoe Middle School) and one high school (South Tahoe High School.)
